When You See These Signs, Replace Your Tires

Driving on worn tires can be dangerous, especially in poor weather. Treads help tires maintain traction when roads are wet. Without deep enough treads, the tires cannot push ice and snow out of the way. Instead of maintaining firm contact with the road, your tires may slip and slide out of control.

You'll know that your tires need to be replaced when the tread becomes too shallow. Push the top of a penny into one of the tire's grooves. If you can see any of the space above Lincoln's head, your tires are worn out. Even if there is sufficient tread, tires should be replaced if they are cracking or bulging.

At Mountain Home Auto Ranch, we know all about tire replacement. For your next set of tires in Mountain Home, ID, make an appointment with our service department.
